Staying to the End
Many poker player will get into trouble by automatically staying to the end when they have four good low cards, meaning a good draw at a low, regardless of what is out against them.
Usually, you stay to the end when you are trying to make the best low or a hand that has a reasonable chance of being the best low but is also an inside straight draw or better.
But there are times when you should throw these hands away, such as when your hand is not very live, the pot odds you are getting are not very good, or the chances are high that you’ll make your poker hand but it will not be the best hand.
A lot of chips go into the pot in these games, and one advantage you will have is that the dealers often stack the chips as the hand proceeds.
This allows you to keep track of how much money is in the pot and will give you an approximation of what each half of the pot will pay.
In other words, you should have a good idea of what the current pot odds are, as well as what your implied pot odds will be.
